BioLong pewter hair framed a face that was long and full of sharp angles. The pointed tops of his ears knifing through his hair-- and he was beautiful in a way that makes the breath catch. Hair fell across his face, but his eyes, shining like mercury, studied intently. Canon: "The Unseelie Court is terrible, terrible and dangerous. And of the Unseelie Court, no knight is as feared as...the one you spoke with. When the truce was made, each of the Queens exchanged their best knights--he was the offering from the Seelie Court. The Queen sends him on the worst of her errands." - The Thistlewitch. "Once you told me that you would do anything to prove your love for me. Would you still?" -Queen Silarial "You may rise," the Lady said. "Approach me. I have a task to set you to." "I am yours," Rath Roiben Rye said, brushing the soil from his lips. She smiled a little smile. "Are you? And do you serve me as well as you served my sister?" ..."Better, perhaps, for you try me harder." -Queen Nicnevin, and Roiben Personality: Roiben is a now the king of the Unseelie Court, or so he would believe himself to be. No longer in service to Nicnevin, no longer loyal to Silarial, he has shunned the fairness of the grove and his family in favor of his true home Under the Hill. Being a king, similar to being a knight often means choosing the more difficult path, the personally expensive one. He has made personal sacrifices in the name of duty. Broken a heart or two. He is learning to temper justice with mercy, because he knows that the pure truth can bring grief. He has grieved for what has been lost, but there is a hope on that maddening edge of desperation to return to what was. He hopes he can be a worthy ruler of the Unseelie Court and keep to the oath made to the Solitary fey. Abilities: He can manipulate faerie glamour as easily as he breathes, he's quick with the curving sliver needle of his sword. He knows literature, poetry and music, and the flowers of the field. Roiben is from Tithe and Valiant , the property of Holly Black. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing, from which no profit whatsoever is being made. |
